Aunt Connie's Chocolate Peanut Butter Brownies

6 squares Bakers unsweetened baking chocolate, melted
2 ¼ sticks butter, melted
3 cups sugar
6 eggs
1 ½ cups flour
1 cup pecans or walnuts
½ cup semisweet chocolate chips
10 P.B. Slices

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease foil-lined 13x9 inch baking pan.

In double broiler or microwave, melt chocolate squares and butter, stirring until completely melted.

Stir sugar into chocolate until well blended. Mix in eggs. Stir in flour. Spread 1/3 of batter into prepared pan.

Bake for 25 minutes, or until firm to the touch.

Layer 10 P.B. Slices on top of baked portion of batter. Sprinkle with nuts and chocolate chips. Cover with remaining batter.

Bake an additional 30 minutes or until top cracks. Cool in pan. Run knife around edge of pan to loosen brownies from sides. Lift from pan using foil handles. Cut into 24 brownies.
